This chicken cuisine restaurant established by one generation since the owner, Kawanishi, opened the restaurant in 1970. The first store location began in the ancient city, Kyoto, Marutamachi.　The building which Hachiki-an is located in, was constructed at least 130 years ago, and in 2021, it was designated by Kyoto City as a cultural property of high historical value.
We will keep on preserving and passing down "Kyo-machiya" - which means very historical buildings in Kyoto, to the future generations. And will continue to play a symbolic role to help Kyoto City's more than 1000 years of history.
